Pregnancy and Chiropractic Care
Updated: Mar 23, 2022
More parents are choosing chiropractic care during pregnancy to maintain or optimize their bodies' innate ability to carry and deliver a baby. Read below to learn how to find the right chiropractor for you.
All chiropractors are trained to care for adults and can generally adapt their techniques when adjusting special populations like children or pregnant people. Some chiropractors choose to receive additional training to better serve these groups in the safest and most effective way. One of the biggest chiropractic associations, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), offers many trainings and certifications to prepare doctors for that task.
A good resource for locating a chiropractor in your area who has completed additional training and has experience caring for children and pregnant people is to use the "Find a Chiropractor" tool on the ICPA's website with the link below.
